Know Your Rights – Understanding Consumer Protection Laws

Don’t allow banks and lawyers to bully you any longer.

Consumer protection laws will vary from country to country and state to state so be sure to familiarise those applicable to you.

The following is an example of some of the laws covered, and made available to you, in “What Lies In Your Debt”.

Consumer protection Credit laws

The Courts Obligation

These laws cannot simply be ignored by the courts but in many cases it will be up to you to bring them to the attention of the authorities.

Some of the lesser used federal consumer protection laws applicable in USA are:

  • The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
  • Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA)
  • Telephone Communications Protection Act (TCPA)
  • Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP)
  • Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA)
  • Truth in Lending Act (TILA)

If the lender or collection agency contravenes any of these laws you have a very good chance of turning the tables on them.

What lies in your debt is designed to show you how to use these laws to your advantage and get paid for the bullying tactics employed against you.
